THE GOAL
Potion to Pour’s mission is to celebrate art and fashion as vital, unifying forces that bridge cultures, time periods, and communities. We
strive to illuminate and address the gaps across intercultural, intergenerational, and socioeconomic landscapes by establishing a global community centered around art. In doing so, we aim to foster symbioses among creative communities worldwide while preserving each
one’s unique heritage and creative integrity.


VISION
Grounded in themes of Afro-futurism, solidarity, identity, and the reconception of time, Potion to Pour pays homage to Africa’s rich teachings and biography, which has a complex history of interconnectedness.
Inspired by our upbringing in Gaborone, Botswana, where multiple African and global cultures converge, we are often met with a tension generated by the overlap of these cultures. Too often they have a tendency to fight for dominance.
Instead, of rejecting this overlap we propose symbiosis, a“cultural Frankenstein” which seeks to foster unity and collective empowerment. We aim to spark thought-provoking dialogue through carefully curated artwork and fashion expressions that underscore the beauty of hybrid identities and cross-continental
collaborations.

Vendor Showcase:
Offering attendees a taste of the event’s ethos, with diverse products and services from local and student vendors, while simultaneously promoting a vibrant space to network with other attendees
Curated Selection of Contemporary Art:
Showcasing works from creators across the world with the likes of some based in Botswana, South Africa, Germany, Portugal, and crossing seas into various parts of North America.
Fashion Show
A combination of selected and in-house curated pieces culminating in a collection under the Botswana-bred, multi-hyphenate creative
house J/GARMS
Live Performance Finale:
Concluding the evening with a grounding performances that epitomizes the spirit of cross-cultural creativity and community
building.
